In a unexpected collaboration that defies usual predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Uncovered

According to the official announcement, "A mysterious confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of banned rituals and terrifying transformations resonate through the shadows." The plot features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine sect.

The questline concentrates on "strange trials and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Additional Content

Players who finish the mission will acquire an unique katana alongside multiple items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This patch also adds the game's newest free story episode, titled "A Puzzlement." Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also includes a original environmental puzzle that may eventually clarify some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
