Starting Positions
There are only sixteen vehicles on the grid. This followed another bad qualifying for the driver: after coming 20th and last in the previous race, leading to an eighth position in the grand prix, he failed to make it out of the first qualifying segment once more on the previous day. The team have as a result adjusted to his setup and so he begins from the starting area.
Aston Martin's Lance Stroll and the Alpine duo of Pierre Gasly and Colapinto are all starting from the same position.

Alright, just over twenty minutes to go till the short race begins. Unless something goes wrong, its main importance is as a preview of future events, instead of highly important in its itself, with just eight championship points awarded to the victor. However, the runner-up spot in this race was enough for Verstappen to claim the title two years ago.
